Will They Know

Will they know where I went?
To this day I will never know.
All those hours I should have spent
At school, where I will not go.
In the forest on that day,
No one up when I left.
This felt like the only way,
For no one else to hear of my theft.
People couldn’t wait to criticize,
When they saw my face on the news.
My whole life seemed to capsize.
If I had the chance I would have just hit the snooze.
Instead of walking out the door,
On everything I had been looking for.
