Hives

Bees all around
They swarm and they dive
I hope I'm not allergic
They’re all leaving the hive

Surrounding me fast
The feeling I recognize
I recognize the look
In their multi-pixel eyes

I try to ignore them
I try to turn away
But no matter where I go
I know they’re here to stay

I know what they represent
It’s just too big to hide
Everything I know in me
All the pain I have inside

As they sting my heart and soul
I fall faster than before
A feeling returns that I didn’t expect
I always want even more
