Stars

The young boy looks up into the sky.
In the dark cold sky a star shines through.
The young boy’s imagination soars.

The boy soon creates hopes and dreams,
Upon the single star above.
The star’s golden light burns brightly,
But soon the bright light fades away.

The stars in his eyes twinkle,
As he lands in his new home,
A home of endless chances.

He has heard rumors of a better life,
But he will soon find out the honest truth.
The boy’s new life always takes place inside.
He can never look to the star’s bright glow.
