Jaclyn Harvell

My Mom

Walks into your room in the morning with a smile on her face,
Saying the dreaded line “time to wake up.”
Spends all day hard at work and
Is there when you need a ride.

Makes you lunch so you do not have to eat the cafeteria food.
Makes you laugh when you had a rough day.
Makes you smile when you need one the most.
Makes your life the best she can, teaching us the entire way.

She gives you the looks you have.
She gives you the hope and courage you need.
She gives you the love and support that any kid would ever want.
She gives you who you are.

She helps you when you need it.
She gives you space when you need it.
She is always there when you need it.

You fight.
You figure it out.
You can not always live with her, but you sure can not live with out her.
You miss her when she is away.

You want to be her.
You look up to her.

You love her and she loves you.
