One Dance

A beautiful flow,
Of pirouettes and plies.

Each step and movement,
Of a swan’s grace.

The constant rustling,
Of tutus and long skirts like trees in the wind.

The quiet pitter-patter,
Of toe shoes and little jumps.

And one sudden grand jete,
Performed so magnificently,
Like a bird taking flight.

One small glimpse,
Of perfection and brilliance.
