The cycle beings with a scrawny boy
He was filled with energy and hope
He was an energizer bunny that cared nothing about scrapes or scratches
He played soccer, t ball and was always going somewhere

Then he was in double digits
He was a walking, breathing Hercules
He was a friend and a mentor
He helped me, and we had a secret spot in the woods

Then he was popular
He was a criminal skateboarding, hip-hop, sneaker addict
He was a friend to strangers and a stranger to friends
He was never around

Then he left the popular crowd
He once more became a walking legend
He again became a friend
He wrestled, played soccer and was always going somewhere

Now he is leaving
He will go to an unknown place
He will have to choose one school of nine
He will make his own destiny

Will he change?
