School Oh School

School, Oh school, you make me wanna drool.
Your long blocks and short breaks are Oh so cruel.
First thing in the morning,
I stumble into History, barely awake,
Good thing I have another test to take.

I try and make it through the morning,
As I shuffle through the crowded halls
Finally I head to lunch - my time of peace.
Just my luck we've run out of seats.
English, Art, Spanish and Math
Why Oh why must I stay on this path?

Now the day is nearly done
As I head to Bio, Oh what fun
Just when I think all is good and clear,
I have to go and grab my football gear.
A grueling two hour practice surviving the elements,
Then I head for home, my comfort zone.

The aroma hits me as I walk in the door
On the table, dinner for four.
Then there's my couch, my TV, my bed.
Sweet freedom.
No, wait ...
Two book reports and a test to prepare for!
Only 300 more days of this miserable gore
till summer vacation and I am trapped no more.
